Ai Wei Wei “Forever Bicycles” Installation

Ai Wei Wei, arguably the most buzzed about artist in the world right now, has a new installation in Taiwan dubbed “Forever Bicycles.” The welding of several thousands of bikes together is a commentary on the rapid pace of China’s social change, and is certainly a stunning visual accomplishment. After being imprisoned by the Chinese government earlier this year for 81 days, it’s certainly a relief to find Ai Wei Wei still making biting social criticism.
