Honda NSX to Return?

The new Avengers film is a hotbed for paparazzi activity, with their latest snapshots revealing a lot more than just on-set acting gaffes. What can be confirmed is that the legendary Honda NSX supercar is back. CEO Takanobu Ito recently hinted at the NSX’s revival, when he revealed: “we’re making progress with plans for an exotic sports car.” While the car is still a prototype, there are several details that have been confirmed. Honda is working on a VTEC V6 engine of between 3.5 to 3.7 liters, while the twin electric motor set-up will be powered by lithium-ion batteries and employ a plug-in recharge system for a small electric-only range. The Acura-branded car will also have a weight-saving aluminum body, and is set to go on sale by 2014 priced at a Nissan GT-R-rivaling £65,000 EUR (approximately $87,367 USD).

    There is nothing racist here at all in the beginning. It was just a matter of personal opinion & preference from the egomind. But I must apologise here for being blunt with the words up there. I am sorry if I have offended any Audi’s R8 fans. Neither I have mention anything nasty on the R8. Hence, the fact is, this is indeed a Honda Acura NSX not a Audi R8. Neither the comments above were here to win any “Virtual Likes”. We are all human being created all equal.

    wasnt made for freeway pulls, it was made to race with turns. if you wanted more power seek aftermarket support. power is easy to make. you cant bolt on an all aluminum chassis

    In every way, it is aerodynamically more livelier & sexier than a R8. R8 wasn’t even born when Ayrton Senna was ripping the tracks on this 1. This was the 1st car that feature an all – aluminium monocoque body incorporating a revolutionary extruded aluminium alloy frame, and suspension back in the 90′s. The prototype in 1984 was designed by Pininfarina & to be engineered as good as anything coming from Germany & Italy. This is a Japanese legend world-class sports car, with a lot of low height, intricate body lines, forward advanced cockpit even the Mclaren F1 owed it to this 1. So do not tell me you see a lot of R8 in this design or it looks like an R8. You need to recheck your history.

    Had a 1994 NSX it was nowhere near balanced. It handled well but even after a few boltons and tuning it just was slow compared to the asshole corvette guys and stuff on the street. Looked great but was no beast on the freeway.

    the engine didnt suck in the last one, they didnt go for power but more for balance and all roundness lol the nsx is one of the best engineered cars ever

    I hope the new NSX is pushing  a lot more HP then the previous one. That is what made it no Japanese Supercar. The engine sucked. They need to pull out at least 420HP to compete with Skyline’s and LFA in terms or Japanese Exotics.

    Honda makes great prototypes (CR-Z concept, for example), but they’ll find a way to make it awkward and lumpy for production.
