This season Supreme will be releasing two skateboard decks with original artwork done by Harmony Korine. Harmony Korine is a writer, director, filmmaker and artist whose work maintains a distinct point of view that often highlights youth culture, dysfunctionality, mental disorders, poverty and other social ills. Korine wrote the groundbreaking film Kids, as a teenager living in New York. Among other things, Kids depicted the skate scene in New York in the early ’90s, and featured many famed NY skaters including Harold Hunter and Justin Pierce. Outside of his film making, Korine is an accomplished creative who has worked with Christopher Wool, Sonic Youth, Cat Power and Bjork among others. The set of skateboard decks will be available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on October 6 and available in Japan on October 8.
