LEGO Architecture Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House

September 4, 2011Techby Jane'a Johnson1255 Views

On September 1, LEGO released a new addition to its ultra collectable LEGO Architecture series in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House in Chicago. Built in 1910, it is considered a seminal piece of architecture in America. It is one of many storied, internationally recognized pieces of architecture immortalized by LEGO. Structures like the Farnsworth House, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and the Guggenheim Museum, also designed by Wright, are included in the series. Robie House, the LEGO version, of course, tops out at around 200 dollars. Available now for $199 at Amazon.

Lego pieces or blocks, not  “Legos”.

As cool as a concept this is, I still prefer the legos I had as a kid.  Just a box of blocks and a mind full of imagination were all that’s needed.
