New Era Snakeskin Snapback Preview @ S.L.A.T.E.

New Era gave us a preview of an upcoming snakeskin snapback for Spring 2012 at S.L.A.T.E. Following a similar design scheme to those made popular by Don C, this New Era version doesn’t feature the distinct authentic python material but does make the style a bit more affordable for fans of the look. Expect a full run of teams to drop come 2012.

    Its the same snapback Jigga had in the OTIS video. That was era and not Don C. I think Don C > Era because his is quality and real snakeskin. This could be just some bullshit imo

    First of all Don C didnt start the snake skin snapback… He brought it back… I will give him that much… Don C copied what Starter was doing back in the 80′s… This is gonna be much more affordable than the Just Don snapback… But at the end of the day most people will buy the New Era snapback but deep down inside you will always want the Just Don snapback… Quality over quantity is my advice.

    I didn’t see this post yesterday or i would’ve threw change in this convo . Everyone only wants the look because of Don C and Ye, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Hov, and the other guys running around with his hat . I think its pretty cool depending on the colorway, but go ahead … buy a 400 dollar hat while your home with ya mom . thats smart, i ll stick to a 25-35 dollar hat and probably look better than you in it

    Do ya’ll have any idea of how stuff is made? Or how long ideas linger in peoples heads? Or in offices and studios on desks? There’s so many different ways this could’ve happened… Don could’ve gotten the idea from somebody at New Era… He could’ve asked them to do it and they didn’t see a market for it. Mad shit could have happened… Ya’ll so hype to choose a side.

You spent $400 on something that isn’t copyrighted and isn’t manufactured by a big company so he got steam rolled and people who don’t want to spend that much are going to buy these up.
