On August 13, fans of adidas and A Bathing Ape saw the release of the newly collaborated Superstars. At adidas Originals Harajuku, staff were unsurprisingly greeted with over 270 guests, all anxious to get their hands on only a few dozen pairs of the release. As if a three-hour wait wasn’t enough, the queue endured 90-degree heat and scorching sunshine to such an extent that one patron suffered from heat exhaustion and had to be rushed to the hospital. All shoes were distributed under a supervised lottery system and were sold out at all locations.
