Maison Martin Margiela was on the cutting edge of the laceless, elastic-fastening loafer movement along with some other high-fashion brands including, most notably, Florsheim by Duckie Brown. Always avant-garde in their interpretation of trends, the enigmatic fashion house has crafted the shoes in a super-distressed leather geometric patchwork pattern. The combination of mustard yellow, cream and brown makes these almost reminiscent of bowling or clown shoes – if jesters could afford Margiela.
