Burberry Prorsum has just unveiled images from their upcoming pre-collection for Spring 2012 and, from the looks of things, they’ve certainly put a new twist on their iconic heritage. Taking some of the brand’s more classic pieces like knit tops and trench coats, creative director Christopher Bailey has infused them with a number of artisanal and decorative elements that truly speak volumes about the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and detail. In addition to these subtle touches, Burberry has also played around with texture, offering up pieces like trim, tailored trousers in a lightweight linen twill, casual jackets in a cool chambray linen, and boldly patterned sweaters in a soft and luxurious wool fair isle fabric. And, as always, the British label offers up a selection of leather goods, shoes and accessories that never fails to disappoint.
