Really?? lol. I was never a fan of the shoe.I’m a go out on a limb and state the obvious. They took AIR FORCE 1′s and slapped a thicker sole, named it Bathing Ape. The star logo does it no justice.

There are a lot of Bape haters out there, now I live in NOVA we have cmonwealth and barneys and host of other high end streetwear stores, I’ve lived in the area for about 15 years now, and I have yet to really see anyone around hear or even in DC ever rock Bape. Bape came out in 93 and didn’t open the NYC BWS until 2004 (or 03?) anyway, technically Bape as a brand has only been officially been distributed here in the states for little over six years. I have yet to see anyone really rock it out, now if that’s according to personal taste, then so be it, but it’s still underground, relatively unknown in the mainstream and is still exclusive. Even if china’s IT bought out Nowhere, Nigo still has Humanmade and other brand outlets to do his own designs and clothing lines. I will continue to buy bape so long as there main line clothing offerings continute to be produced in Japan, because as much as you all like to hate on Bape, I refuse to wear sweatshop brands made in china.

To answer someones question earlier bape isn’t really alive as a brand they did go bankrupt and they were purchased by another company.
Looks like the SB Dunk before they took out padding and what not.

Man they have been butchering the English language on this site for a long time. Most of the posts read like they were written by the “cool” guys in high school who goofed off and never passed their English classes.

Now those guys have grown up and anytime they try to write intelligently, hilarity ensues.
