RM Auctions: Steve McQueen 1970 Porsche 911S

RM Auctions revealed a couple of days back that the famous slate grey 1970 Porsche 911S featured within the 1971 film Le Mans will be put on the auction block August 19-20. Made famous by the “King of Cool” Steve McQueen, the car was once owned by the iconic actor, taken back to California after the filming of Le Mans was complete. Although the famed vehicle has exchanged hands over the years, it still remains in mostly original condition. At the moment no estimate is available as to what the car will fetch, but the screen time and legend of McQueen’s ownership are two factors large enough to drive up the bidding.
