Jay-Z And Eminem Team Up For Hometown-Concerts

Two of the biggest rap stars in the world, Eminem and Jay-Z have teamed for two concerts in September. According to the announcement Jay-Z will open for Eminem at Comerica Park in Marshall Mathers’ hometown of Detroit on September 2, while Eminem opens for Sean Carter at New York’s Yankee Stadium on September 13.

The official announcement was made on Wednesday (May 12) during the third inning of the Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees baseball game at Comerica Park in the Motor City. Here is what Jay-Z had to say about the upcoming events.

We got so much love for our hometowns and we wanted to stretch the genre of hip-hop music and show that it can play live audiences, so we’re gonna do two concerts—one here in this stadium, Comerica, and then we’re gonna do Yankee Stadium.
