Blacklake Productions offer the fourth and final installment of in their ‘D.I.Y. America’ series featuring commentary and interviews on American graffiti, skate and music culture by ESPO, KR, Craig R. Stegyk, Shepard Fairey, Barry McGee, Amaze, Earsnot and Sace. The project by Aaron Rose is said to be an ode to his own film ‘Beautiful Loser’ released in 2007. The underlying theme of the work is to challenge people’s perception of our physical environment predominantly what we believe is public and private space. Additionally, the film delves into the psyche of graffiti artists and why they do it. The series is a must watch for any urban art enthusiast. Enjoy!
