Shanghai 5: Skateboarding in Shanghai by Charles Lanceplaine

Shanghai-based videographer Charles Lanceplaine has just unveiled his latest videographic work with Shanghai 5. The 23-minute documentary takes a look into the developing landscape of Shanghai from both cultural, societal and skateboarding standpoints. Several different players are interviewed, including brand managers and professionals, who each offer their own respective insights into the local skating scene.

    every city has its own identity and cultural background, is unfair to compare them…I like hongkong and tokyo(don’t know if you spell it wrong for some reason or not though)…and I like shanghai too…

    That was excellent documentary on skateboarding in china. Gives good insight on how it is to be a skateboarder in china. I can see how their parents aren’t to stoked about skateboarding. Asian parents are super strick
