Apparatu x Alex Trochut “Skate Fails”

Spanish artists Apparatu and Alex Trochut team up to develop “Skate Fails”, a series of ceramic works that distort the traditional skateboard into all sorts of interesting positions. Bent, broken and even melting, the boards are plated with silver, gold and aluminum, painted and remade into works of art. A look into a few of the designs are offered below.

    comaring artists isn’t meaningless. art should give new forms to sense, if that form is already made the artist is just reproducing. he’s not doing his work for other, he’s doing it for himself, which has a therapeutical aspect. even erwin wurm did his morphing sculptures just to earn some money, cause he couldn’t get enough with his one minute sculptures (which are great btw). so you can’t even say these dudes are just reproducing for the money, cause even that is done before.
