A Bathing Ape x Casio G-Shock DW-6900 Preview

We can safely say that no other brand has been more active in G-Shock collaborations than A Bathing Ape. The upcoming seasonal release features the DW-6900 model with a full blacked-out design which is a departure from the usual bright displays seen in the past. A red on black dial provides a bit of color contrast. A release is anticipated for the near future with a retail price of ¥21,000 JPY (approximately $250 USD).

    What ever happened to that flashy yellow and red color way or the white with rainbow text? God, the newest Bape watch is so ugly. This one on the other hand is good I guess but so plain. Like a car, your paying for the name.

    BAPE isn’t even trying anymore. Like some of the others, I bought the exact same watch at Nordstroms for $99 and was happy with the price. Why in the world would anyone pay the extra $150 for the BAPE name?

    1st, the regular price for a bape T-shirt (including baby milo T-shirt) is around 80-90$, so if you paid 200$ for a bape T-shirt, it only means you’ve been raped by hype-sellers…lol
    2nd, i really don’t think if you can buy a whole white or black T-shirt with that quality will only cost you $5, i mean as a normal buyer, not the person in clothing business who can always get sample-shirts from factory for almost free…

    i agree with you, for the quality part, bape always comes with good quality, but think about the other way, they ask for that level of price, so they suppose to be good quality, don’t u think so? because of the price, so the quality, or because of the quality, so the price…this doesn’t matter…the only thing they need is adding some better designs…

    My wife works at nordstroms i got this same watch too without the little bape substituted letters and i got it for 66.00 (after saving 33%) They need to do something waaaay more original then adding the word bape to a watch to justify a 150% increase in price.

    Bape is played out sure but the quality has always been good. They just need more original ideas.

    This is getting retarded, I saw this model at the local Macys for $100 same color way black on black with the red led… the only difference is they changed g-shock with “bape” and added another $100…. sorry g-shock x bape you didn’t fool me…
