In their sophomore season, American brands New Balance and 686 unite once again as part of 686′s special project label, “The Times”. The outcome is a footwear-based capsule featuring both on-mountain performance models as well as lifestyle sneaker options. Both the 580 and 790 models come in either sneaker or snowboard boot form while the v74 is solely a lifestyle model. The collection in its entirety is available now directly through 686.

    hey jake. most bindings nowadays have toestraps so the straps across the boots won’t bother you at all

    most people ride toe cap straps now so the strap on top of the foot is actually not a bad idea to secure the instep. And I think 686 designed the boot, not NB.
