Jeffrey Deitch x Los Angeles MOCA
According to Vulture, Jeffrey Deitch, founder behind one of our favorite galleries, Deitch Projects is set to oversee a new role as the director behind the Los Angeles MOCA. The move is a revolutionary one in which American art institutions rarely look to gallery owners for directorial positions, however Vulture sees this as a good move with Deitch providing the necessary change to revamp a stuttering MOCA. Among Deitch’s accolades, which combine both the creative and business side of things, he holds an MBA from Harvard, has worked as a vice-president at Citibank, and has the obvious backing and understanding of art and creativity with Deitch Projects. All in all, his ability to manage the relationship between art and business will undoubtedly be his greatest asset.
