Toyota Land Cruiser Icon FJ Series

The Icon FJ Series channels the potent Toyota Land Cruiser line of yesteryear (1960-1978) and gives it new life. The line is a refashioned triumvirate of vehicles that throws a modern spin on the since defunct Land Cruiser aesthetic. All three vehicles sport an all business gunmetal/matte black attire and are hand built to order, starting at $98,000.

    I own a 71′ and 07′ FJ I wouldnt own any other type of 4×4 they are simply amazing off-road!!! I would rather see ICON use a toyota engine, but they look great!!! Hats off

    yeah this isnt from toyota and are not toyotas. like matt stated below, Icon just uses the STYLE from the FJ40-45. There isnt a single part on those trucks that is vintage or from toyota. The body panels, the chassis, suspension, drivetrain, are all hand made or assembled. The engine is a corvette LS1 motor.

    There are people who spend three times this much on offroad trucks.

    This is an uber capable rich man toy. thats all, stop getting all bent out of shape.

    This really has like zero to do with Toyota beyond that the ICON guys use the base fj40 and 45 as the basis for their builds… I don’t have much of an opinion on these except that they look pretty awesome… I doubt I’d buy one even if I was rediculously rich.

    Look at http://www.icon4x4.com/ for more information. I own the ones you speak of (old) and a diesel one from Australia with right hand drive (a bj44) and I’d still take them over what’s offered today. I’m so sick of throw away society today with computers in cars which is like the first thing to go wrong, not the computers fault… heh. I love computers just not necessarily in vehicles with the intention of durability in any condition.

    It’s not about the price, it’s just sick Toyota has put time into bringing back an old classic truck with a classic body style. The newer fj’s were pretty cool but you can’t beat the old body style. Well done, great looking truck I like it a lot.

    We used to drive these on the farm because they were small and relatively nimble. They were also readily available and lasted forever because they were a Toyota.
    You would want a ridiculous amount of work done to these before you handed over 100G. They handle horribly on the road and there are so many better options for 4wding these days that you’d be silly to buy one of these, especially when it seems not much has really been done to them?!
