Fjällräven have been a staple name amongst Nordic outfitters for over half a century now and their Kånken rucksack, introduced in 1978, has been the one to lead the charge for the Swedish brand, both on the home-front and to a smaller extent, North America. The rucksack’s functional nature and renowned history as so much more than just a school bag, made it a no-brainer for Opening Ceremony to step in and give their two cents. The boxy cut, playful colour schemes, and reasonable price point, are a perfect ode to both companies. Available now at Opening Ceremony.

    I’ve inspected one of these bags, nothing remarkable. Apparently the fox patch adds $50 to the value of the bag.

    I havent been a big fan of this bag, but in these times of everything being more or less overly technical I´m finding myself more and more attracted to simpler and cleaner design like this bag.

    (Fjällräven does alot of technical stuff but also have a cleaner line of merchandise like this bag and the jacket Greenland)
