Pretty nice to see cncpts is working with brands like timberland and NB…companies
that are based in New England! Agreed w/ nailtang though… these guys are pretty
much working w/ the brands to come up with the story and pick colors and materials… not designing the shoes. Still not an easy task and it requires a real eye and mind
for what will excite people and speak to them on an emotional level.

I dont know what people are talking about as far as bad customer service at concepts. Also keep in mind that the concepts inside tannery and their new store should been seen as two totally separate entities. With that being I remember being at the concepts outside tannery and corrected an employee about some of the details on the jason markk shoe cleaning product, not only did he acknowledge he was wrong and apologize but he then showed me around the store…he could have easily been an ass and he was not.

As far as concepts inside tannery I will say the product does not rotate as much as it may should however again the staff has always been nice to me every time I go in tere last time I visited one of the employees noticed I was wearing undefeated and pulled out five undefeated fitteds for me and a friend and informed us there was a 5 for 30 fitted hat sale. THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Even when not buying things they say hi and usually chop it up about whats going on in the store etc…

Oh and another thing every time I was in there it was a white person helping me and I am spanish ! So wrap your head around that one and let it explode like dude in scanners.

As far as bad customer service worse I ever experienced was bodega…well their old staff…I ask about a bodega logo tee and dude looks at me and makes a joke about 9//11 to which my cousin from nyc who was with me turned around and was ready to snuff dude in the face, thankfully I have not seen that employee since, and since then the customer service their has become better by leaps and bounds… example the last time that bodega had its big clearance IN STORE (not at the gallery space) within the craziness that ensued a female employee informs me and my friend of a corner of the store no one was shopping that had the entire adidas consortium azx series sneakers…huf, undftd, wood wood, alife, patta, the whole collection.

So I do not think its race nor is it store…maybe you caught them on a bad day or….

I know the one thing they hate is hypebeasts and people with no appreciation for clothing and sneakers…..maybe that is the problem for the ones making these comments.

Big up Frank! dont know what this has to do with employees but I doubt i myself would entertain all the convos revolving around sbs and jordans so maybe people take that to heart, Concepts has been in Boston since 96 so they’ve paid dues and probably aren’t as hype as other stores…look at Supreme, Alife, Packers, and anyone else thats been around for as long as they have and tell me how adequate they’re customer service is.
