Inspired by traditional Japanese manga Japanese pop artist Yoshitomo Nara unveils a new series of sculptures as part of his “Ceramic Works” exhibition at the Tomio Koyama Gallery. Known in the past for his juxtaposition of the innocence of children and the evils of mankind, the sculptures see their focus on the window’s to one’s soul; Eyes are a dominant feature throughout each face and character often seen over a simple palette of colors. The Yoshitomo Nara “Ceramic Works” Exhibition runs until June 19th, 2010.
