@ adidasaj- that is exactly my point “no one wants new pure Adidas stuff”. Maybe they did perfect their line long ago (they didn’t but for arguments sake let’s say they did) but the fact that they are only releasing collaborations now is sad. The adidas brand used to be strong enough to stand on it’s own but now it has to rely on other brands’ relevance to sell it’s product. Saying they used to make great stuff isn’t an excuse to stop putting out inspired product… I say this because I used to wear adidas all the time but now the only product they put out is rehashed ideas featuring another brands logo.

collabs is all Adidas really needs to do because their core line was perfected long ago

no one wants new pure Adidas stuff — if they want pure Adidas, they want the classic Superstar shoes or track suit, basic simply Adidas t-shirts, etc

so the demand is all for Adidas collabs, and that’s what they’re doing (and it’s working)

@tony In which case I can’t wait for Steve X adidas, come on adidas, why won’t you return my calls?

I like the t-shirt w/zipper pocket, but not for $80+

Is adidas no longer allowed to release product that isn’t a collabortation? Every post about adidas is related to a collaboration! It starts to give the impression that the brand no longer has any relevance with the “street” consumer and is teaming up with any brand that will have them in order to get people to care.
