Eddie Izzard x New Balance 576 Custom

Having not seen too many customs out of New Balance, British comedian Eddie Izzard was given a special pair of 576s for a monumental feat performed on behalf of Sports Relief. Running 43 marathons in 51 days, his footwear of choice with the old reliable 576 was seen in a simple black suede version. On the heel is the Sports Relief logo while Eddie’s personal touches are seen along the front and tongue. The miraculous feat was documented in a three part series which will be available through the BBC iPlayer.

    He deserves full respect from everyone at the very least. Forget what the shoes look like.

    I like em. Although it really does seem like these were hastily put together, it’s hard to mess up a black/white NB sneaker. Eddie Izzard is all too funny.

    i have to say, i didn´t expect this. but it looks quite good. even though, beeing one of the biggest eddie izzard fans on the planet, i wouldn´t wear these.

    horrible… the stitching on the letter connects, usually something you find on bootlegs or stuff with lower production quality. NBs are great shoes, i wish they had given the opportunity to somebody who didn’t just squander it for a cheap laugh.
