A Walk Through Fort Greene Trailer

The upcoming full-length documentary A Walk Through Fort Greene discusses the massive Black arts movement that began back in the mid 1980s all the way through the 1990s. The story is narrated by director Nelson George as he takes a look into the catalyst for the movement as well as its development and unfolding. Some influential entertainers make appearances including Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Rosie Perez, Vernon Reid, Carl Hancock Rux, Saul Williams, Lorna Simpson, Alva Rogers, Kevin Powell, and Bill Stephany among others.

    lame. totally lame. I thought you were talking baout voodoo and witchcraft.
    Why can’t black arts be American arts. Tires of all the separation:
    Black Coaches association
    Black members of congress
    Black Journalists association
    etc. etc.
    Why seek to divide us instead of uniting us. When black people create all these “Associations of Black (Insert group, profession etc here)” do you really think it is helping race relations in this country.

    These groups are just as bad as creating the “White Association of whatever.”
