For those meticulous about keeping their shoes crispy, visvim drops a new Shoe Care kit, which features some of the necessary tools to achieve those results. Both a lotion and delicate cream are offered in the set, along with a nice cleaning cloth. To gab:
I don’t know which shoes of visvim did you buy, but if it’s the “folk” series the sole was supposed to be stitched to the upper! You can check any visvim catalog, the features of how it is made are written next to each product.

    To eastwestmememe:
Totally agree with you, I’ve nearly bought every model of the fbt folk series and noticed upgrades along every model. Whether it’s the construction of the sole, thickness of the elk leather, or lining of the inner sole. You get a feeling that visvim is really improving details and considering how to make a good product throughtout development, and all of those upgrades does reflect significantly on the breathability/moist abosrbing abitility and comfort when you wear it. BTW, what’s the problem with the stitching of the first foley? I only own the latest gy foley folk, but I kind of like the brown leather arch support of the older models, dunno why they change it to white color for the newer ones.

    Cheers!

Judging by the comments above, there is a lot of ressentiment against visvim’s price policy and reports of quality issues, ..

Speaking from experience, I can also attest the products are not always absolutely flawless, but they are far from being badly produced.
The clothing line is top-notch, as for the shoes all the new line is ok but there has been some problems with the stitching with the first “foley”version and the nose of the “fbt” a few years back. in short quality is better now than before.

Clearly it is not giving this independent company justice to say that this is a rip-off brand.
The task of making something original is really difficult. The prices are not in the sportswear range but they are not as high as the luxury fashion houses either, Visvim stands just in the lower high end. I don’t think this brand has anything to do with streetwear anymore of course and must not be judged as it. Limited quantities complicated release dates and dozen of different items for one season have complicated the process, some items have been upgraded 3 times throughout the years. It is not a multinational corporation yet and it is godd like that.
My advice is to go for the latest line and not purchasing it on the internet (to avoid the European or american releases of the a couple of years back and the fakes sold as authentic) if you are looking for a good return on investment! Taking care of the product is important too.

As for the price of this ridiculously small “shoe care kit”, I must agree this is a bit far fetched, superlative brands like Church’s are offering complete travels kit with welt brush, horse hair brush, real horn shoe horn, black & neutral wax polish & a cloth for less than the price!

Anything under Visvim is a rip-off. The shoes don’t last. And this kit, is made from make believe powder. ps: To Visvim, if you do not know how to reply email(s) then I would encourage you not to develop products that are faulty and retail it for a high price. I had almost all my Visvim shoes sole stitched. Thank you. Build something that’s true… start with the name. Wank.

that is unless Visvim has created and invented a NEW way to clean leather or suede that has somehow never been thought of in the hundreds of years people have been wearing shoes, and subsequently, cleaning them. then THAT i guess would warrant a $115 shoe cleaning cream.

….all which are available in any shoe-care section of any major retailer for probably less than $20.
