Star Wars x adidas Originals New York March

The Star Wars and adidas Originals campaign has been a prominent fixture over the last few weeks representing two strong brands in the respective world of cinematography and sports. To help cap off a successful footwear-centric capsule, we’ve seen a number of city tours that have involved the iconic Star Wars antagonist, Darth Vader and an army of Storm Troopers. Just yesterday, the Dark Lord of the Sith took over the streets of New York alongside none other than Snoop Dogg. In this hypebeast.tv episode, we take a look into the the sights and sounds as well as hearing Snoop’s insights and upcoming projects.

    I can’t even begin to comprehend this . . . I have loved this culture for a long time, and sadly have seen it troll the depths of commercialism and blatant marketing mess . . . This can be firmly chocked up to one of the low points so far . . . Adidas, Star Wars, Snoop should all be ashamed of themselves . . . Pathetic . . .

    @ zippers.. No darth thru up the west in tribute of snoop.. and Snoop DID throw up the east (2x’s) in tribute of being on the east coast! ALso snoop was in the original commercial shot, that shows life happenings with a star wars twist to it. remember the scene, where Darth all of a sudden appears on the streets behind the cheerleaders?? its just another play on the video. thats all.

    I’m certain Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper and Adidas are enough of a draw. Why some hip hop entertainer is there is beyond me. Whoever thought up the promotion of this thing is an idiot. Hip hop entertainers have nothing to do with Star Wars. Run-DMC makes more sense, but I guess Run-DMC was too busy, so whoever set this dumb thing up settled.
