The smart, slick and sassy hooksome rock duo formerly known as Poney Poney, come back under the name of Jamaica. Jamaica’s first album is produced by Xavier de Rosnay and Peter Franco and in celebration of the launch, they team up with the Cool Cats for a special t-shirt release. White with a hit of red text, the tee is now available exclusively through the Cool Cats webstore.
they named the band jamaica because back in the days theyr name was pony pony (reach the track cross the fader) but they don’t became famous but a another band who his the name is poney pony run run became famous before him haha

Im jamaican…and yea this name doesnt fly well to me at all. U dont represent our country at all and this is just not cool. We are about “out of many, one people” but I dont see how they can walk around with JAMAICA as their new group title. and JAMAICA isnt just a name. I would like to know the reason they have chosen “jamaica” as their group title.
