Brought into the spotlight by his work for the Obama campaign, Shepard Fairey retrospective “Supply and Demand” traces the development of the artist’s career, from early Obey imagery to his most recent works, including screen prints, stencils, stickers, rubylith illustrations, collages, and works on wood, metal, and canvas. Although the show closed in Boston just a few days ago, those who missed it at MOCA have two more chances to catch the show, first at the Warhol Museum (Pittsburgh) and then at the Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art (Cincinnati). In preparation for the upcoming show, Mr. Fairey is doing what he does best – create murals and share his artistic majesty with the good people of the city. “Supply and Demand” will open at the Warhol Museum on October 18th.
