Since the launch of the Abbington collection a few seasons ago, we’ve seen Timberland Boot Company turn the corner as the classic American brand strives to diversify itself. Their 2009 fall/winter collection continues on this path of producing a distinct aesthetic for “classic, innovative, quality footwear.” Their seasonal inspirations take them to the 1930-40′s era of northern England work/outdoor boots which often embodied special production methods and strong detailing. Horween burnished leathers undergoing special treatments are the centerpiece alongside heavy-duty buckles and zippers. The collection is broken down into three lines, The Colrain (military-inspired), the Counterpane (a dressier line) and the Tackhead (which reflects a resourceful and contemporary Timberland).
