Vogue Nippon x COMME des GARCONS "Magazine Alive" Pop-Up Store Opening

A space that has previously housed such high-powered collaborations such as COMME des GARCONS Black and COMME des GARCONS x Louis Vuitton has now been re-modeled as the focus of the latest retail front, the Vogue Nippon x COMME des GARCONS “Magazine Alive” Pop-Up Store. The store located in Tokyo’s Aoyama district features a wide range of items “from t-shirts bearing the manga likeness of Hedi Slimane, Marc Jacobs and Donatella Versace, to silk gowns/t-shirts from Undercover, knits from Martin Margiela and transparent plastic handbags from Loewe.” Each month, a new selection of products will be available and fall in-line with the contents of monthly issues of Vogue Nippon. The store’s interior decoration will also see some interesting modifications as this month features Murakami’s art work as part of the July “manga-themed” issue as well as some doll installations from UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi. The store will remain open until November, 2009.
