I agree that her videos range from “yeah, alright” to “wow, neat” but I can not bring myself to say that she is that amazing. And I am definitely baffled by her presence here, although I am starting to see the connection between her “style” and urban streetwear/up-and-coming fashion designers featured on hypebeast. I must admit I really enjoy her new single, a lot. And most would likely agree that she is opening a new can of worms for pop music, much like Madonna did in the 80s, or sort of what the Spice Girls did for Europe in the 90s. But honestly, how difficult is it to be a pop sensation that writes fairly enjoyable pop music and throw on some Lacroix, McQueen, Balenciaga, Pugh, Mugler, or any other fashion designer that have been throwing these garments on their waifs for years? I definitely give her props for bringing runway fashion back into music. No offense Britney, Christina, or Pink.

Theres three huge product placements in that piece – Carrera probably paid a quarter mil for that spot with the zoom in on her glasses logo. Notice how every art piece thats been posted on this site has been either brand sponsored or led up to the artists release of their own work for sale.
