Jeff Koons “New Paintings” Exhibition Recap | Hypebeast

Film directors create and get credit for the creation of films, yet they don’t hold a camera, they don’t star, they dont edit, they don’t write, yet it’s still their film. Why is what Jeff Koons is doing any different? He’s still the one making the calls and making the decisions.

All i know is that these are sick paintings. who gives a fuck who actually made them. Their sick paintings you don’t have to like them. It just makes the world a hell of a lot more interesting if you can learn to appreciate paintings like this. They are very smart paintings and for me they hold up as interesting images as well as interesting images conceptually. If monkeys can do it why dont you do it better ya monkey.

Warhol not just business man made good stuff. Just imagine them when they were made. That was totaly crazy of him to make them. They must have looked so jaring and interesting. Abstract painting is not easy..And these are not your typical abstract paintings. Look at the particular dots making up an image almost like it is pixelized. This is not an easy task to do. The dots look very Damien hirst inspired

On second note: Jeff koons DOES NOT paint these himself, nor does any of his art work for that matter…He has many workers doing them for him and that is why I do not appreciate jeff koons and he is merely a buisiness man like andy warhol. But whos to say that isn’t a bad thing.??
