A headline-grabber at every turn, Jeff Koons’ most recent exhibition recently debuted at the Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles. One of the most prolific pop and contemporary artists of our generation, his previous works have largely been the subject of profound interest and controversy. His latest show includes a departure from his usual large-scale sculptures, instead focusing primarily on paintings. The exhibition runs from now until Saturday, January 9th, 2010.

    it’s who you know, not what you do, like every industry out there. if you have a name, you can piss in a cup and call it “art”…. that is why “art” is such a lie in our contemporary world, no meaning or substance…. though I would call Antichrist with Dafoe “art”, brilliant stuff. lets agree to disagree ;-)

    let me note too things.

    Abstract painting is not easy..And these are not your typical abstract paintings. Look at the particular dots making up an image almost like it is pixelized. This is not an easy task to do. The dots look very Damien hirst inspired

    On second note: Jeff koons DOES NOT paint these himself, nor does any of his art work for that matter…He has many workers doing them for him and that is why I do not appreciate jeff koons and he is merely a buisiness man like andy warhol. But whos to say that isn’t a bad thing.??

    abstract painting is easy. even a monkey knows how to do it.
