well, I can say from personal experience that this car at the time was in fact a head turner and conversation piece. Both for the car and for the story about the makers demise. I was 12 when my dad bought one and can honestly say that the necks were breaking every day when I got dropped off to school. As far as the whole played out colabo argument goes, it’s hard to disagree…but bringing this car back to life and not doing it by bastardizing the whole back to the future thing is cool in my book. Maybe it’s just cause I’m old though :)

I try to like The Hundreds. I’ve even picked up a few tees (without bombs and “THE HUNDREDS” plastered all over it) from past collections. Lately though they seem to be a little broke in the creative department, the skate wear equivalent of “bubble gum pop”.

This DeLorean thing, what does one have to do with the other? Seriously. Is it just to throw a print of a fondly remembered but fundamentally terrible car on a tee because the mainstream is still milking the 80’s for everything it’s got? This isn’t what a collaboration is about. It’s about two people/groups coming together to do something innovative. Putting two names on packaging for the sake of a few sale is a little…

If you have built up a platform, use it well.

Pretty pointless collaboration. I really feel that collabs are what really killed streetwear. Especially in cases like these, that are really just unnecessary. Can anyone say “reaching”.

    Cool.

Wow, John DeLorean will be proud, although the true legacy of this car is purely mythical. Although the stainless steel body was innovative and attractive, this was never a premiere automobile, not in its time, and not today.
