by Eugene Kan, November 16, 2009

As part of our re-emerging Hypebeast TV series, we took the opportunity to feature the well-known musical and fashion duo, The Clipse. With their “Til the Casket Drops” album just weeks away, we speak with Pusha-T and Malice over a series of topics ranging from the creation of this latest album, the group’s involvement with KAWS on their album art and their direction behind Play Cloths.

I like that they mentioned that Jay-Z to Soulja Boy and everyone in between supports their clothing line. (I like to read this as, Jay-Z is the top of the rap game, and Soulja Boy is the supreme bottom trash of music, and then you got everyone else in between.)

Flannels or not, 2010 is abou tto be The Clipse’s year. I look forward to more collabs with The Clipse after the album drops as well as more fashion collabs. I think their brand has a lot of potential in teh streetwear market as long as they adapt the the trend changes and don’t burst with the fashion bubble.

i think we can credit Clipse with bring back classics like the flannel. None of this is even remotely like Lord Willin’. Clipse + Lebron Diss = fail
