ALIFE looks to release their full holiday 2009 footwear lineup this Friday, November 6th, at all ALIFE flagship stores as well as online at TheUpset.com. Highlights include a new Everybody High Flood in full-grain leather, Everybody Mono Hiker, Kennedy High, and suede Chuck, as well as a selection of other ALIFE classics in updated colorways.

    I must say that their version of the Clarks Wallabee is superior to the original, and I’ve worn wally’s for over 20 years. Here’s why: inner sleeve. Yes, the alife’s have an inner sleeve that just makes the alife version more comfortable. And using an outsole (in the alife version above, the outsole is the brown bottom) is a great improvement because the bare crepe sole on the original is so soft that it gets very dirty and very worn too easily (who hasn’t had a small pebble actually sink into their wally sole?). Also, alife laces don’t come undone every 20 feet like clarks. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but in this case they’ve surpassed the OG. —cheers//dom

    The problem with alife is the shoes are way too expensive for what they are. People are willing to pay 60-90 for these things.. Not 120 and up.

    I have the black ones (2nd last) on right now. Very nice. First Alife’s to catch my attention and should be good for Canadian winter.

    Alife is take Clae’s footsteps tbh :/ stick to the classic designs but add THESE materials! That’s all I’d advise ‘em to do :P
