For those in the New York area, this marks the last week of Takashi Murakami’s art exhibition “Picture of Fate: I Am But A Fisherman Who Angles in the Darkness of his Mind” at the Gagosian Gallery. Within the exhibit is a large-scale masterpiece titled “A Picture Of The Blessed Lion Who Stares At Death” as it combines various aspects of Murakami’s signature superflat styles. For those unable to check the painting out live, a video can be seen over at the Gagosian Gallery website.
