Contrary to what some might say in the comments, Hypebeast is showing the whole gamut of cutting edge commercial fashion activity which is a good concept.
One style only policy is for narrow minded folks needless to say.
Streetwear, Catwalkwear, Premium Urban, all 3 concepts are very different (3 different industries too). Cannot compare easily or criticize on the same premises.
Nevertheless, since all the posts have the same format, irrelevant/modest projects are showcased at the same level of importance as relevant releases which is sometimes awkward.

This one is a good example: small brand/approximative statements/badly shot/ a mix of predigested influences from recent catwalks/… this is certainly not a winner, none of the clothes are hot enough to stand on their own. The offering is too weak. Uniqlo , h&m, Topshop are already doing the job of remixing influences under the “less quality but better price tag” formula anyway.
Small labels shouldn’t play a game which is already played by the bigger payers, they need to invent their own rules and shake up the industry be it streetwear, catwalkwear.

ok, this brand is trying to do what tens of labels have already done. Boat shoes, flannels and tight pants. But why do they make the model wear such ugly outfit combos. cmon, the one in the last picture looks like being taken from Bruno.

I don’t like the clothes either.

What is this site coming to? There are so many upcoming street wear & urban fashion brands, and they show us this?! Make up your mind hypebeast, why not support those who live, breathe and are immersed in hip hop, rap, bboying, grafitti, DJ’ing, etc. ?
Does anyone who reads this site wear stuff like this? There’s a post regarding Mos Def, it feels like their is a conflicting dichotomy going on here…….
