“JOKES”, unfortunately, it’s not quite as simple as that. Long story short, the system is “broke”, literally and figuratively, because of inefficiences, corruption and an insurance industry that benefits from “more”, often unneccessary healthcare/procedures, instead of the “best” options for the patient. This needs to be fixed, period. Unfortunately, the opposition has no interest in “fixing” this problem, but rather, going against anything our President and/or the democrats propose. I’m not saying that everything they’ve proposed is exactlyl right, but instead of working with him and the democrats to get this incredibly important bill passed, it seems their ONLY goal is to spread fear and to make him look bad, so they have a chance at beating him in 2012. In short, what should be a human and economic (if things remain the same, the US will be bankrupted by healthare) issue, has been completely politicized…. to the degree that it’s almost impossible to come up with a “bipartisan” solution….which is unfortunate for those on the right, who have legitimate issues and suggestions for the President’s proposal….and for the record, the a majority of American doctors and nurses believe major healtchare reform is neccessary, as well…again, cheers to Sabre for putting his two cents in, in the best way he knows how.

Universal healthcare will ruin this country’s system without a single doubt in my mind. I understand that people have hardships but that doesn’t mean we should destroy competitive industry and weaken our economy which will cause a fatal effect in the long run. Think our economy is bad now? Wait until every doctor and medical employee works under this system. Do you know what that’ll do to the USA?

I don’t think saber’s participation in the discussion is any kind of conformity. His reasoning, more likely, is because of his own SERIOUS health issues, like epilepsy, and the fact that he has NO access to the health care system, with the exception of the ER.

At least he is willing to shed light on an issue that directly affects him and his ability to make more art, as too many people in his position do not. 20 years+ devoted to painting, 90% of which is given by him with love to the community at large for free, even to this day. If that’s isn’t credibility, I don’t know what is. Fuck political parties, its about the need and desire for actual change. As cheesy as that may sound.

Until you have woken up in an emergency room numerous times left holding a bag of shit otherwise known as medical debt, than maybe you do not understand what it is to walk in that persons shoes, and maybe a video like the one Saber made would appear to be “conformity at it’s simplest”. Personally I don’t think that was the intention, maybe that’s because I’m not quite that jaded.

It would be nice if this guy had some credibility to these claims he’s making. The video is tight and i love the style used. But the message… is conformity in its simplest.

short n’ sweet… yet powerful, well done. It’s embarassing what’s going on here right now (for those not in the US)… the scare tactics being used by the opposition are SO elementary and ridiculous to anyone who actually thinks about them for more than 15 secs, yet as we too often see, FEAR trumps reason…
