Ronnie Fieg for Red Wing Shoes 6″ Ashy Blue Boots
by Staff, October 13, 2009

To wrap up the Ronnie Fieg x Red Wing collaboration we take a look at the third and final piece of the collection, the “Ashy Navy” 875. For this year’s 6” make-up, Fieg chooses a unique shade of Navy distressed leather and to stay consistent with his previous two 875 make-ups he keeps the Black welt and Black heel spike along with two leather lace options of Navy or Black. Priced at $250, these will be available with the rest of the collection this Thursday, October 15th at 10:00am online via Davidz.com, as well as the David Z. flagship store in Soho.

Just scooped up the Ashy Navy. Ronny, thanks for doing something different – can’t wait to rock these badass boots.
Shock, Glad you picked up the Timb and Lugz drop in there. Def was intended for comedic purposes.
- Might gotta take my shirt off – did you just mention Lugz and timberlands on a red wing post? lolll, you’re a funny dude. ANYWAYS, Ronnie i could understand you having to explain the situation between you and Nom De Guerre.. i finally know the deal and I’m sure many people are surprised by your comment. I will be attending the release party tonight and let these haters know about it tomorrow. Good job Fieg!
This gay is a genious. I looke up two him. It toke 2O months to do this! WOW! Send Me to D Sscool he went to.
This is ashinine… LOL@ Skate! Yo Fieg if you are jacking colors dont sweat it, Bro. None of it is truly original anyway. Timberland and Lugz been throwing out beaters in grey’s and blues for YEARS! No bigz. Just be happy with yo ish and keep it movin. The fucking laces on your boot are flames! Quality stuff. Seriously, Ronster you dont need to respond to cats on Hypebeast. WTF do they know? Its all a bunch of saturated bullshit on here and people stroking eachothers ego’s/projects. Like at the end of the day its a navy blue boot that looks good. Not more or less special than any other navy blue boot. Just a navy boot. Period. Half the people that buy this shit dont even know about hypebeast and or who you or David Z (or just about anyone else in the industry) is… David Who is He? Nor Do Care.
Nice one JamesB, there really are some lame comments. ppl are sayin “this is all the work for 8 months”, Guys……..it’s not really the time that really matters, it’s the passion an creativity you put into the shoe….be it a single colour or a whole multitude of colours, it’s what the designer feels is the best colour for the final product…and I think he’s made the right choice. Now….where can I get these inTokyo??????
Would have bought 20 months ago….Red Wings = old news.
Wow….you worked on that boot for 8 month….
and all u did is a grey color…
Dude….you must be The man…
we need to talk..
yeah okay? = definitely a homosexual.
I’d like to thank everyone for their support and love off this red wing project… let me clear the air about both Grey 875 boots that dropped last year at David Z and Nom De Guerre, (James B) is right about the David Z. Ashy Grey dropping before the Nom’s, in fact i worked on my Grey boot 8 months before they released and they still released 60 days before the Nom’s.. even so, if you hold both boots next to each other you will see that they are completely different – Mine was Grey distressed leather and the other was solid Grey suede. I have both and wear both so big up to Nom, they did their thing. As far as this Navy boot is concerned, this boot has been in the vault since the Ashy Greys were designed, both were designed together but i chose to hold off with the navy to release this fall, that means the boot was designed 20 months ago. (to answer yeah okay?)
psssh…funny how they supposedly dropped the grey 875s right before Nom De Guerre and then a “navy” finish just before a certain other renowned boutique almost exactly a year later.
Chris Money, are you blind? there are some stupid people leaving comments… these are navy leather. the nom de guerre’s are grey suede. plus Ronnie’s grey leathers dropped before the nom’s so if anything you mean to say they look like the ashy greys. hater.
great shoes in a fantastic color, love the “ashy navy” finish!
All three are sick.
Ashy blue? Looks JUST like the Nom de Guerre…
