Rob Dyrdek x DC Shoes 2009 Fall/Winter Collection
by Staff, October 2, 2009

The Rob Dyrdek x DC Shoes 2009 fall/winter collection sees an official unveiling today. The collection is very much a tribute to Dyrdek who’s been a DC rider since 1995 and been an integral member of DC Shoes’ growth and expansion. The focal point of the capsule is Dyrdek’s new RD1 Mid as well as apparel. Check your local DC Shoes dealer for availability.
THE DYRDEK COLLECTION HITS STORES TODAY
October 1, 2009 – Vista, CA – Starting today, October 1, DC and Rob Dyrdek proudly release the limited edition Dyrdek Collection to retail stores worldwide. Visit www.rd0915aw.com
A member of the skateboarding team since 1995, Dyrdek has been an integral part of DC’s evolution, always reaching beyond his legendary video parts and endless magazine coverage into the realms of product design and wherever else his imagination takes him—he’s truly a visionary of skateboarding and its future. The Dyrdek Collection builds on that history.
Dyrdek’s latest shoe, the RD1 Mid, sits at the center of the Collection and draws design cues from Dyrdek’s first ever shoe with DC, where he set out to design the first-ever skateboard shoe that had an athletic shoe’s performance features and look. The result, the Dyrdek1, was the first skateboard shoe to feature protective nylon lace loops. That first Dyrdek signature shoe was met with unprecedented approval by the skateboarding community and sold out in record time.
Now, 15 years later, The RD1 Mid model comes in two colorways as a mid top with perforated leather and custom lining, but features the same paneling and lace loops from the Dyrdek 1 that revolutionized skateboarding footwear. The code “RD0915AW” is branded into the heel of the shoe, reflecting the original branding on the tongue of Dyrdek’s first shoe. “RD9501AW” combines his initials (RD) with the year (‘95), shoe model number (01) and his board sponsor (Alien Workshop).
Completing the Collection is custom-fit denim for skateboarding, lightweight zip fleece, t-shirts, hats, wallets, and a high-end leather jacket. A water pattern, representing the Collection’s theme of “Fantasies Run Deep” is used across the Collection as the lead print.
Tune in to “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” on MTV tonight for an episode featuring DC and The Dyrdek Collection. The show airs at 9 PM ET/PT.

skating in
but guys…they do have an uncanny resemblence to a common projects shoe. other than that, id skate it.
I’d be down to skate the black ones. They arent bulky at all its a Nike Blazer type style except these have a stuffed tongue.
fat shoes are lame
wow im liking the hoodie thanks douche
haha yeah AlloJEAN take your comments somewhere other than the comments section! jerk. Doucheman its just an opinion and a valid criticism. chill out.
Douche McFarlen, damn did you design the shoe? Also is doesn’t matter how loyal Rob has been or not. When you put these shoes on you get no closer to Rob Dyrdek or DC. At the end of the day if people think the shoe is whack they’re not going to buy it and or they’re going to say how much they hate it dude. You don’t have to be a shoe expert to have an opinion and this site wasn’t just built for shoe experts to comment so if you don’t like what this kid said and have a tough time dealing with people’s criticisms stay off the site.
bring em out.. the black joints.. raise the high(lower the hue)
please bring back/retro,reissue whatever the dyrdek 3’s.
those were the second best DC’s (first being the rick howards) ever made.
AlloJEAN, it must be so easy to design shoes, huh?! Can you tell me what shoe company that you design for? Otherwise, I suggest you take your comments somewhere else… Why is that when one designs a shoe, someone out there has to rag on a shoe design?! Come on, Rob has been with this company since day one and has never ventured off into another company… That’s a pretty cool thing considering that I’m sure that he would make more money somewhere else… That’s some real loyalty to your sponsors. Oh yeah, that “wack of air holes” that you speak of is called, “perforated leather.” Oh wait, you probably knew that already because your a shoe guru or some famous shoe designer, right?! Jackass!
They’re like a pair of common projects shoes with two colors and a wack of air holes in them. Not good.
the blue ones are pretty dope
