The tool of many creatives, MoleSkine’s usual practice of serving as the gateway to thoughts and ideas comes in under a slightly different pretense with its upcoming Detour Exhibition set for the MoMA Design Store in Tokyo. The exhibition features a series of artists who have customized the iconic MoleSkine in the form of art and design while others have created literary pieces as their angle. Seen here is a work by artist Nendo who “wanted to show the way that sketches function in the space between two and three dimensions, and to present the sketchbook itself as a ‘place’” with the manipulation of the pages. The exhibit begins on October 16th and runs until November 4th, 2009.
