The first delivery of Maiden Noir’s Fall 2009 collection, entitled “The Mountains Beyond” is now available at Haven. The Mountains Beyond is based on the forests of North America, and specifically a small group of mountain ranges from the Pacific Northwest. The defining piece in this season’s collection is the Wrathchild Leather Bomber. Also in this drop are some nice Madras Plaid Shirts and the Henley Work shirt. Lastly, the Quadrupeds of N. America collection is a series of tees based on the artwork of John Audubon with part proceeds being donated to the Audubon Society for the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems. All pieces can be purchased here.

Not sure what you guys are talking about, but those t-shirts are nice. And Audobon series isn’t original, are you kidding me? Most fools on this site don’t even know who John Audobon is!

I love Nin Truong and gang’s earlier work, but I feel like the label’s graphic program has FALLEN OFF super hard. The Darken Days tee and a few other earlier ones are getting a lot of love from me, but the Audobon series is just not that original–research the paintings– and I also have the books from which most of the prints on the site come from–I just wish everyone in streetwear would step their game up graphically.

As a big MN follower this season’s release is below par of last years collection nothing seems to pop out and the graphics look sloppy. I do find the audobon shirts really nice.

No wonder I really like this line up! Bring this line to Portland!
