That’s the truth, it kinda sucks seeing all these fools riding longboards and shit, pushing mongo, just a bunch of marks, but they rock the gear like they’re hard on that shit. It’s not about skating in alleys sake1, and no one is disrespecting koston, it’s about actually getting on your fucking skateboard and throwing yourself down 10 steppers because you love it, and when you eat shit you get back up for more. Not just throwing on your fresh Nike SB’s for the walk to the pub.

if skating in the alley ways is your idea of sticking to your roots, than that’s why you’ll never be a skateboard mogul like eric koston.

Dead on Hurk. 80% though? That’s pretty generous. Seems like a lot of people are really just into the look and the drinking – not the falling down and getting hurt and actually caring about skateboarding part.

Froston, keeping it chilly. I must admit though, since I began following Hypebeast the amount of skate related posts and topics is through the roof. I guess business is generated as a result of general interest NOT participation. Respect to all the rollers out there. This passion isnt going anywhere, it just got took over. Stay true to your roots, and remember what it was and WHY you started and continue to push. No hate, just tired of the 80%ers. Feel me?
