sounds like there are a bunch of bitter people out there. why do people have to take such a small thing and blow it up? Obviously she is not impersonating here…she was paid. Hell I would do this being the “westerner” I am. And trust me I have absolutely no desire to be or impersonate Japanese culture in my normal life. i think it’s awesome!! ^^ i think she looks great/cute, it’s a very creative and artfull move, and besides that it looks like she’s having a lot of fun. yeap, it really looks like a playful and funny and cute thing to me! ^^ not to be done everyday of course… hehehe. but who doesn’t like to play (even doing crazy and embarassing stuff) once in a while? relax people… and takashi murakami is a great artist.

Sorry but have I missed something here? As far as I can see it is just an act and not that she’s trying to be the “real deal”. As it says “video project”. I’d say cute though.

Although I have to respect her for venturing into unchartered territory – I also have to wonder if Murakami and co. were laughing inside the whole time this took place.

Ive been to japan plenty of times too and Ive never met a “westerner” with such desire lmao, and since this a piece of art and Kirsten Dunst was inevitably paid for this, i doubt its anywhere near a depiction of Dunst’s hobbies
