Stussy link up with Hectic on a set of shades for Fall/Winter, offered in 4 different colorways. Included are 2 solid White/Red and White/Black designs in a Gingham Check, a Clear/Black Gingham Check and Black/Black joint. All look to release via Stussy Japan and ZOZO stores on October 17th while the web chapter stores see a drop on October 24th, 2009. Retail is set at ¥16,800 (Approx. $188 USD).

    I seriously doubt Stussy has time to lie about the manufacturing location of their sunglasses, but like I originally said, that’s irrelevant. Also, the plastic lenses used for Stussy glasses, CR39, is considered the best plastic for usage in sunglasses. It has been found to be more shatterproof than glass, protects better against UV and weighs less. Like I said though, the Mosley Tribes are nice in that they use actual gingham, but the overall concept of gingham glasses is ugly IMHO. It can be argued that the whole concept is fem.

    Stussy Sunglasses are poor quality GooGoo, th lenses are cheap plastic, mosley tribes uses actual glass with is so superior and has better optical quality. and they actually had real gingham fabric inlayed into the hand shaped plastic, And the whole italy thing doesn’t mean anything, they prob make in china and have them restamped italy, some of the illest brands in the world are made in china, so what. And the shape is way fem, which is great for Japan because thats how they roll.

    It’s funny you should call these poor quality, since Stussy makes its glasses in Italy (by hand supposedly), and Mosley makes most of theirs in China. But China made doesn’t necessarily equate to poor quality. Personally, these look better in terms of overall shape. The Mosley’s look kinda boxy. I’m not sure if these use actual gingham like the Mosley’s though. However, I think Gingham glasses are ugly in general. That third pair isn’t too bad.

    Didn’t MOSLEY TRIBES drop actually the Lyndel frame in real Gingham Fabric 3 season ago? This shape is weak too, so late and unoriginal, actually not surprised. Not optical quality, car wash quality.
