fragment design for SOPH. 10th Anniversary Custom Rolex Submariner

Having spotted a custom fragment design watch last week, we now see that Hiroshi Fujiwara had more up his sleeve with this latest preview. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of SOPH., fragment looks like it’ll be making a limited run of Rolex Submariner timepieces, customized to fragment specifications by the experts over at Bamford & Sons. Not much other information is available so stay tuned.

yeah.. why would they try to make a perfectly fine beautiful watch like the rolex submariner uglier? it just doesnt make sense.. custom or not, anyone who buys this would just get ripped off! plus customizing a rolex wont make its value appreciate, it would do the exact opposite! they just ruined the watch.

Bamford & Sons is well known for their custom Rolex Watches…This is for sure…But here is the thing…The customization of the watch has nothing to do with the Rolex Company itself…Rolex has a strong oposition to using their product in that manner, and this has been well known for years (See their refusal to pay for product placement in the James Bond films and the subsequent taking over of this position by Omega for proof of this)…Instead B & S takes a stock Rolex Model and does the customizing themselves in house, like adding an Updated dial, or PVD Coating, or an updated bezel, like the watch pictured above…So while this is in fact a custom Rolex it’s not custom through the actual Rolex company…Just like their are tons of “Custom” Nike shoes that have nothing to do with Nike themselves and were made by a private artist or 3rd party…That being said I would much rather design my own custom Rolex through B & S myself and be able to save myself a few bucks as I’m sure Fragment is going to place a huge mark up on this piece simply for their name and logo being on the dial…
Bamford & Sons is a renowned for customizing Rolex… Nothing is fake…

Hmmm! I’d have to check it out.
Why would a company want to put themselves on front like this by presenting a fake Rolex. The Bezel, the crown, and the dial are all the wrong makings for a Submariner.
Not to mention that the date window is missing. Under the word ROLEX… should read as OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE, and under the word SUBMARINER should read as…
1000ft = 300m

OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED. Also it should read SWISS MADE under the six o’clock marking. Also the lock down crown is to small. I hope that noone buys this thinking that their getting anything other than ripped off.

Case, Bezel, Dial and Hands are looking not the real thing.
