Eminem, Mos Def, Black Thought & DJ Premier Cypher

by Davis Huynh, October 28, 2009

Revisiting one of the lost dawning elements we rarely see in Hip Hop nowadays is the “Cypher” In this clip you’ll find respectably three of the best wordsmiths in the game today, complimented with one of the greatest producers of our time on the turntables. Although only 3 minutes long, it’s truly a special moment, given this day and age of Hip Hop. Check out the clip. Courtesy of last night’s 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards.

em started off slow but picked that shit up and murdered it. i duno if they were actually freestylin, but em’s verse sounded more off the top of the dome out the 3. black thought killed it with a real smooth flow. mos was pretty tight but i expected a lil more from him.
