THE BLACK SENSE MARKET has been making headlines as it has brought on board many of Japan’s biggest brands to create a special capsule to commemorate SENSE Magazine’s 9th anniversary. Another prominent item to feature includes this team-up with MEDICOM TOY on their iconic Bearbrick. This Bearbrick easily breaks barriers as probably one of the most expensive ever as it is created in stainless steel and comes in at MEDICOM TOY’s largest commercial 1000% size. The Bearbrick which releases on Saturday, October 24th is for sale in-store through THE CONTEMPORARY FIX and carries a hefty price tag of ¥ 5,250,000 JPY (approximately $58,000 USD).

I guess if you want it as “art” and you have the loot… or if you’re a rich a**hole that thinks bearbricks are still cool it makes sense.

I am a big fan of Bearbricks but this is just ridiculous. Steel prices are at an all time low and yet they wanna charge $58K for this? Even if I had the money for this I could not buy it for principle… I know it will be a collectible but come on..
