adidas originals jeremy scott 2010 preview 1 adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott 2010 Spring/Summer Collection Preview

For his SS10 Originals by Originals collection which is being previewed now during Paris Fashion Week at the adidas Originals Paris showroom, fashion’s wild child Jeremy Scott returns with the acclaimed glamour and opulence from his first two collections for ObyO. The spring/summer 2010 range again includes re-interpretations on some of the most beloved adidas products as well as completely new designs for men and women. Inspired by rockstars, highlight pieces come with lots of rhinestones, fringes and prints.

The popular JS Wings are back in two new colours and materials – a rainbow reflective synthetic upper and a white patent version with golden highlights. Two new stand-out silhouettes are the JS Rockstar made out of genuine leather in a metallic tone, set off with rhinestones over the whole shoe, and the JS 3 Tongue Lo, a hybrid between a loafer and a sneaker featuring a perforated flip-over tongue with tassels in three distinct layers.

The one-size-fits-all unisex vintage style American Football Jersey takes classic sport to a whole new arena. Redesigned for the centre stage, the jersey is adorned with contrasting rhinestones that complement the collegiate royal and white colourway. The Zip Up Bustier Track Dress is a women’s-only piece embracing Jeremy’s inimitable reinterpretation of the iconic track dress made from an athletic material in colour blocks and with a padded bustier area. A Torero suit tops off the range, presenting a remake of the iconic Superstar track top mixed with influences of traditional matador bullfighting jackets. The suit comes with hand-sewn sequins, tassels and an embroidered tonal oversized Trefoil on the back.

Ed Hardy makes stuff like this? Am I missing something?

  6. Posted by: MLK on October 5, 2009 at 10:00 am

Alyasha was kicked out from the originals by originals series. and I consider his stuff to be the best(some of the kicks anyway?) he had a thougt behind his ideas that could have worked. Next up is a shitty Adidas * Ed Hardy * Jermy Scott Collabo. This shit right here is just scary, he must be laughing his ass off. he just want to see how many he can fool into wearing this. INSANE

  7. Posted by: SDB on October 5, 2009 at 5:33 am

I know it has been said before but he is not ‘way ahead of his time’ when he is going BACK to the 80’s fluro period and moto=x trousers. He is a parasite. Adidas, you disgust me for allowing your brand name to be associated with this.

  8. Posted by: whoaaa on October 5, 2009 at 4:46 am

some of the comments are a bit on the homophobic side but i must say the jackets and the pants are ridiculous. im still thinking about the shoes though.

  14. Posted by: asdsadsada on October 3, 2009 at 11:53 pm

this shit is so stupid. So lame…nothing ahead of its time at all..just tacky bullshit . totally bruno wear and even more laughable that its not a parody…Adidas you suck for even doing this…just stick with the skate stuff thats all you seem to be hitting with in the streetwear world

  15. Posted by: Nick on October 3, 2009 at 8:59 pm

I cant believe anyone likes this garbage. I feel like all he does make crap and people eat it up. I dont get it. He looks ridiculous and so does his clothing.

  16. Posted by: Geezy on October 3, 2009 at 6:07 pm

funny how people go and say dude is ahead of his time when he just does the same shit people were doing in the 80’s & 90’s. If some streetwear company came out with stuff like this it would be laughed out of the building by everyone. Gay & Straight alike. I myself love when people make COUTURE pieces that are crazy because its similar to an art piece. BUT, to move it to production opens it up to criticism. A pink matador’s jacket mixed with motocross riding pants and those god awful sneakers doesn’t work together, and theres no message or meaning behind it so that cant save it from looking like crap.

Im not speaking from my own tastes, but really, this stuff is like he was seeing what he could get away with telling adidas to make.

Is it jus me? Or does he look like a complete dumbass in those clothes!!! Lol i mean hes a matador, a motocross rider and a bboy at the same time! Lol im sure the gear is cool but u cant jus mix clothes like dat! Thats stupid lol

Fashion and design in general are quickly reaching the point of “it’s all been done” Putting serious pressure on yesterdays trend setting designers defaulting them into some sort of “what the fuck to do next mode”. So what’s today’s quick fix recipe for originality? It seems to be blending design elements from the past that were legitimately born in there time with extreme flamboyancy.

For those wondering … it’s not just happening in fashion, it’s happening with everything form architecture to autos (Mustang, Camaro, Charger, etc throwbacks). Do we really want to define this generation BITE? It’s time to step up to the future and stop biting from the past.

  22. Posted by: jaws on October 3, 2009 at 3:01 pm

ya way ahead of his time, this dude is the most overrated, under talented individual in the fashion game

  23. Posted by: bbro on October 3, 2009 at 2:42 pm

People always say that dumb shit. “He’s way ahead of his time” sometimes that makes no sense and this is one of them. This is not really that innovative I’m sorry it’s a pink matador’s jacket with Adidas logos and rainbow shoes that look like they are straight out of Back to the Future 2. Is sorta ridiculous and just screams for attention. For me that’s not useful unless you are on stage. I can’t say people are going to dress like this in the future cause its costume shit. I think any costume designer can probably do the same thing the only difference is he puts this on the runway and he decides what he’s gonna borrow from for inspiration. For that I commend him cause you see how everyone eats it up, other than that most of it looks ridiculous in a ridiculous way and wouldn’t be worn ever.

    the pants are soooooooo dope!

  28. Posted by: Ian on October 3, 2009 at 7:58 am

Just another example of trying too hard to make something original, just because people believe ‘original’ = cool. It’s not…..not when it’s fugly.

  29. Posted by: steffen on October 3, 2009 at 6:41 am

wtf? ahead of his time? esthetics is timeles.

  30. Posted by: 0mt0 on October 3, 2009 at 6:28 am

All the people saying this ahead of it’s time a canvas etc, would you actually were this? If you say yes, then wow I respect you, however I’d still laugh at you behind your back for looking like a motocross driver trying to be a hippy, just the way it is!

  31. Posted by: heflys on October 3, 2009 at 6:14 am

Jeremy Scott is insane. But, for some reason, I can’t hate.

Jeremy Scott is one ill MotherFlower, but I pay him much homage. Understand that he turns clothing into canvas and creates fantastic imagery. This is out there but thats what we’ve come to expect from Jeremy. Me Likey.
