Recently, Incubus front man and artist Brandon Boyd along with Southern California artist Kristin Klosterman teamed up with TOMS in a Venice, California studio to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Channeling their collective voice, the duo transformed large canvases into their own distinct expression, which will become the material for a limited-edition collection of TOMS Shoes. TOMS hopes that the collection will inspire artists and non-artists alike to express themselves in ways that will have a positive impact on the world. Celebrating the occasion, TOMS threw an opening event a couple of days back, taking place at Undefeated Silverlake in Los Angeles. Images from the event can be seen below.

    Wow, what a dick.

TOMS is a great company that’s creating a long-term sustainable business while contributing massively to the global crisis of disease prevention and poverty.

Companies like this should be recognized and celebrated (AT&T realized this). However “using namespace”, in your “i’m so cool and hip, i’m too cool for anything that I don’t know about” attitude, you really make yourself look like an ignorant, bad person.

Hypebeast should do a full feature on TOMS (have they already?) and educate its readers about a cool and effective business model that gives back and makes a difference. TOMS has done several limited edition lines for artists, celebrities etc. (DMB) and will surely continue.

Even if you don’t like the shoe design, show some respect.
